Community Guidelines

Finding my "tribes" exists so people can find each other honestly. These guidelines are the rules that make that possible. They apply everywhere in the Service, including profiles, tribes, direct messages, and the all-night room.

What we ask of you

Be real. Tell the truth about who you are, even if you choose to stay anonymous.

Be kind first. Assume the person on the other side is carrying something heavy.

Hold what you are told. What someone shares here is theirs, not yours to repeat.

Take care of yourself. You never have to answer any question, and you can leave any conversation at any time.

Not allowed

Harassment, bullying, stalking, threats, or intimidation.

Hate speech or attacks based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, disease, age, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation.

Sexual content involving minors of any kind, in any form. See our Child Safety Standards.

Unsolicited sexual content, nudity, or sexual advances toward anyone who has not invited them.

Encouraging or glorifying suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders.

Violence, credible threats of violence, or promotion of violent extremism.

Illegal activity, including the sale of drugs, weapons, or trafficking of any kind.

Spam, scams, phishing, pyramid schemes, fake accounts, or impersonation.

Sharing another person's private information, photos, or messages without their consent.

Selling, soliciting, or advertising without our written permission.

Sensitive topics

Some tribes exist for people who have survived assault, abuse, addiction, loss, or caregiving. Members may speak plainly about those experiences. That is allowed and it is the point. What is not allowed is using someone's disclosure against them, pressuring anyone to disclose, or treating a survivor space as a place to find targets.

Crisis and safety

Finding my "tribes" is not a crisis service and no one here is a licensed clinician, including our AI companion. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number. In the United States you can call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

Reporting and blocking

Every profile, message, and tribe has a report option. You can also block any member, which hides you from them and them from you. Reports go to a human keeper and are reviewed.

Enforcement

Depending on severity and history, we may remove content, hide a profile, remove someone from a tribe, suspend an account, or permanently delete an account. Serious violations, especially those involving harm to a child, result in immediate removal and may be reported to law enforcement. We may act without prior notice when someone is at risk.

Appeals

If you believe we made a mistake, email support@findingmytribes.com within 30 days and a human will review the decision.
