Delete My Data
Updated at August 22nd, 2026
You own your account and everything in it. You can delete your account and your data at any time, for any reason, without explaining why.
Delete from inside the app
Sign in to Finding my "tribes".
Open your profile, then Settings.
Choose Delete my account.
Confirm. Deletion begins immediately.
Request deletion by email
If you cannot sign in, email support@findingmytribes.com from the email address on your account with the subject line "Delete my account." We will verify that the request comes from the account owner and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What is deleted
Your account and sign-in credentials.
Your profile, name or pseudonym, photo, values, rhythms, interests, and every answer you gave to our questions, including all deep-truth answers.
Your tribe memberships and any tribes you created that have no other members.
Your waves, direct messages, and lounge messages.
Your notification and privacy settings.
What may be retained, and for how long
Aggregated or de-identified statistics that cannot be linked back to you.
Records we are legally required to keep, such as records related to a safety report, a legal claim, or fraud prevention. These are retained only as long as the law requires and are then deleted.
Backups. Deleted data is removed from active systems immediately and rolls out of encrypted backups within 30 days.
Messages you sent to another member remain visible in that member's own copy of the conversation unless they delete it, in the same way an email you sent stays in the recipient's inbox.
Deleting only part of your data
You do not have to delete everything. From your profile you can clear individual answers, turn off sharing of your deep-truth answers, switch on anonymous mode, or leave a tribe, without deleting your account.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, port, or restrict processing of your personal information. Email support@findingmytribes.com and we will respond within the time required by your local law.
